FIVE QUESTIONS.

1.  How long have you been collecting and customizing the 1/6 scale and 12-inch action figure hobby?

Started in 1990 with the purchase of a vintage painted hair GI Joe.  First toy I'd bought for myself in a long time!

2.  How did you get started in the hobby?

Soon after my first vintage Joe purchase I attempted to fill in the blanks in my collection by learning mold making and casting by sharing ideas with other hobbyists.  I moved from vintage reproductions to Vietnam Marines and  Real American Heroes to Western and Fantasy figures.  I've run the gauntlet!

3.  We all have other hobbies that we like, but why this one?  What is the main “hook” that inspires you to continue your passion for this particular hobby?

I've worked in plastic models/dioramas, photography, bass fishing and taxidermy.  This hobby seems to combine all the above...well except maybe the bass fishing!  Working in plastics, painting, photographing your work....it's all there.  I'm pretty much self taught and if there's a recipe, I can cook it!
