The American Custom Figure
Symposium is a show completely dedicated to the
customization and collection of the 1/6 scale and 12-inch
action figure hobby. Created by the collector and for the
collector, the ACFS showcases some of the most talented
customizers of the hobby. It is completely free to
the public and held in Silicon Valley, California once a
year. The ACFS show is segmented into three very distinct
areas of the hobby.
1. The Customizers:
20 extremely talented guest customizers will have their work
displayed for viewing, which includes 1 made exclusively for the show. The guest customizers will be at the show to discuss the hobby, chat
with fans, and even hold live tutorials. Some of their works
will be available for sale exclusively at the show.
2. The Exhibitors:
While most toy shows often include comic, anime, garage kits
and even vintage toys, the ACFS show is dedicated to nothing
but the 1/6 scale hobby and related toy and figure
collecting. All of the well known vendors and
retailers in the hobby are here to help you find everything
you'll need including the ACFS show exclusive figures.
See the "Exhibitors" link for more details on limited
edition ACFS show exclusive items.
3. The Tutorials:
Ever wonder how a certain customizer does certain things?
How he pulled off that paintjob or that sculpting technique?
Why not ask your favorite customizer in person? Guest
customizers will be doing live tutorials at the show so
check out the "Programming" link for more details. |
