The Show

The ACFS hosts an annual Custom Figure Exhibition in Santa Clara, California. The Exhibition showcases the works of some of today’s most prolific and talented artists in hobby. The artists are nominated and selected by a panel of contributors and judges in the industry and are available in person to showcase their works, perform hands-on tutorials, and discuss anything and everything action-figure related.

The show is a gathering of collectors, hobbyists, artists, retailers, manufacturers and special guests in the 1/6 scale modeling hobby. The show consists of an exhibition where new artists and seasoned customizers alike showcase their latest works and discuss their methods of modeling and crafting their creative works. Along with the traditional figure exclusives sold only at the show by popular retailers and manufacturers, the show also features an intensive all-day, hands-on training courses for all aspects of modeling in the 1/6 scale hobby.

The show is segmented into three very distinct areas of the hobby.

1.  The Exhibition:  Extremely talented guest artists/customizers will have their work displayed for viewing, which includes 1 made exclusively for the show.  The guest customizers will be at the show to discuss the hobby, chat with fans, and also hold live tutorials. Some of their works will be available for sale exclusively at the show.

2.  The Exclusives:  While most toy shows may often include a range of toys and collectibles, the ACFS show is dedicated primarily to the 1/6 scale hobby and related toy and collectible products.  All of the well known vendors, manufacturers and retailers in the industry are here to help you find everything you’ll need including the ACFS show exclusive figures.

3.  The Tutorials:  Ever wonder how a certain artist or customizer does certain things – how he pulled off that paintjob or that sculpting technique? Why not ask him yourself?  Featured artists and customizers will hold extensive hands-on tutorials at the show!
